Our December Spring

Yes, it does seem like Spring in December. And yes, things really are starting to bloom.  It felt like we were celebrating Easter on Christmas day. Look at the picture below.

But it was a great Christmas!  I received a genuine leather Scofield Study Bible and I absolutely love it. Also, a great vintage suitcase which you will see in some photoshoots.....I'm sure of that.

And all we have gotten is rain and fog and more rain and fog.  If only the sun would shine!!!!!!
This is all really just a tease.  I love Spring, but all of this will not stay.  It will freeze, and die and get snow covered.  So, I will have to wait patiently for springtime to come.

I know I have been lacking on my blog.  I love WordPress.  It's so much easier to work on using my iPad.  I kinda feel like I want to switch this blog over as well.  What do you all think?

I am starting a Bullet Journal this year.  We shall see how it goes.  Do any of you do it?   If so, I would love to hear how you do it:)

Happy New Year to all of you!!!!!!!!

Just Fifteen Minuets

We went into the city to drop off a drawing that my brother did at the library.  I so wanted to take pictures, but dad said we could only spend a couple of minutes after we dropped his drawing off.  I was fine with that, but it was rainy that day and I was afraid that it would be raining by the time we got out of the library.  But it was perfect.  The sun came out and was shining right on the block where we parked our van. I snapped non-stop for about fifteen minutes and I'm very happy with the pictures.

Shabby Chic Flower

I wanted to share with you how I made these cute flowers.  They are perfect for hair clips, headbands or to dress up a gift.  They are extremely easy to make and do not take long at all!

~ Fabric
~ Scissors
~ Needle and Thread
~ Hot Glue
~ An embellishment of sorts

Step One
Rip a strip of fabric. It can be any length and width you would like.  Mine was probably about an inch wide by 28 inches long. Just remember that the width will be the size of your flower.

Step Two
On the side that is not frayed, baste stitch across.  Do not cut your thread.

Pull together.  It should look like the image below.

Step Three
Flip you flower upside down and pinch the right sides together.

Begin sewing your ends together.  Knot and cut your thread.

Step Four
Hot glue your embellishment in the center.

I Am Still Here

I feel as though I have forsaken my little blog lately.  Don't worry gals, I am still here!
So I bought an iPad a week ago and I am trying to get all set up on that.  There is a lot to learn.
And believe it or not, Blogger doesn't work too well on it.  So I am trying to figure some things out.    Also, editing images!  That is another whirlwind!  So many apps, but only certain ones work, where to save your work and so get the idea.  But other than that, I am enjoying the iPad.  It's great!

I can't believe that fall is here already.  Summer flew by so fast.  I created a short video on Vimeo that I was suppose to share a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't :( You can go on over and check it out here

Golden Hour In the Rain

We had a very big storm last night.  Afterwards, I went outside with my camera.  It was still raining a little bit, but it was so beautiful with the sun coming back out before setting.

Landis Valley

This past Sunday afternoon, we went to Landis Valley with some friends.  It was extremely hot, but we had such a great time with each other!

I can't believe that my last year of school is soon starting!  This summer flew by so fast.
We updated our computer to Windows 10 and I am not enjoying it too much.  It has been a pain to load pictures and edit them.  I finally put the Nikon ViewNX2 software that came with my camera onto our computer.  Now I am trying to figure that out!
